Sunny Wescott

Sunny Wescott is the Executive Director for the Geospatial Intelligence Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GEOINT ISAC) and a veteran Chief Meteorologist specializing in extreme weather events impacting emergency response, supply chain, and critical infrastructure.<br /><br />In her role at the GEOINT ISAC, Ms. Wescott is responsible for producing actionable intelligence outputs—including fact sheets, white papers, and map-based risk analyses—to support rapid decision-making for critical infrastructure and supply chain resilience. She oversees the integration of multi-source data and collaborative workflows to ensure insights are continuously validated through member engagement. As the public face of the ISAC, she regularly speaks on emerging threats, geopolitical shifts, best practices, and the complex interdependencies of risk.<br /><br />Prior to her executive leadership, Ms. Wescott served in the U.S. Air Force as a Lead Meteorologist, where she was recognized as the Top Forecaster for her support region. A subject matter expert in climatological events such as drought, subsidence, wildfires, tropical cyclones, and winter storms, her career focuses on operational forecasting and providing tailored impact reports for regions, sites, security, energy, and telecommunications before, during, and after disasters.<br /><br />Ms. Wescott graduated at the top of her class for her degrees in Atmospheric Sciences, Homeland Security Management, and Public Safety Administration. Today, she leverages this unique combination of operational meteorology and geospatial intelligence to build trusted, collaborative learning communities dedicated to improving national resilience and threat awareness.
