Power Pitch 2021: Showcasing Partner Solutions

October 20, 2021

Itron invests significantly in enabling an ecosystem of complimentary solutions that are developed by innovators serving the smart energy and smart city markets. We believe these innovators have an important role to play in shaping the future landscape for utilities in electricity, gas and water as well as smart cities and communities across the globe. In addition to enabling these developers with the tools and support they need from Itron, we’re also committed to helping them drive business by promoting these solutions and enabling exposure to our customer base.

To showcase solutions created by our ecosystem of partners and developers, Itron collaborated with Zpryme to create the Power Pitch competitionThe competition was open to Itron partners that are registered in the Itron Developer Program and that have products in any stage of development from proof of concept to pilot to production deployments24 semifinalists were selected from the Power Pitch applicants in four categories: grid management and distribution automation, smart cities, distributed intelligence and utility IoT.

During the competition, candidates pitched their solutions and received feedback from a panel of industry experts, raising their exposure to potential customers. The judges offered feedback and guidance to help participants refine their solutions in preparation for deployment. The following winners were selected on Sept. 28, 2021, during the final Power Pitch sessions in front of a live virtual audience.

Sentient Energy for Grid Management & Distribution Automation:

Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s intelligently connected network to enhance grid resilience and reliability, drive grid modernization, optimize grid monitoring and operations, simplify renewable integrations, or accelerate critical event response time.

Cleverciti for Smart Cities:

Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s network and/or smart city management platform to build resilient and sustainable infrastructure, smart transportation, public safety and security, or digital services for citizens.

Bidgely for Distributed Intelligence:

Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron smart meter data and the Distributed Intelligence platform to build solutions for enhanced grid operations, data analytics, consumer engagement, or distributed energy resource management.

New Cosmos USA for Utility IoT:

Technology partners in this category presented innovations that take advantage of Itron’s network communications to enhance the services enabled on a utilities’ network such as gas pressure monitoring, methane detection, flood monitoring, water quality monitoring, and other sensor-based solutions.

Power Pitch 2021 showcased Itron’s vibrant ecosystem and its creativity in delivering solutions that can help shape the future of energy, water and smart cities. Congratulations to the winners!
