Itron to Increase Utility Efficiency and Reliability with New Gas Communication Module
Cyble SC communication module improves data transmission and billing accuracy for utilities
LIBERTY LAKE, Wash.—Oct. 15, 2013—Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) today announced the release of its newest, most advanced gas communications module. The Cyble SC features improved data transmission for more accurate billing and system monitoring. The moduleis built on the proven design of Itron's Cyble family of communication modules.
Using serial interfaces, thenew Itron Cyble SC communications module provides an accurate value of the meter index, which is transmitted with high reliability to devices such as volume converters or data loggers. The new gas communications module is a flexible solution for current and future remote reading applications and enables gas utilities to secure revenue and reduce operating costs related to installation, maintenance and site visits.
